For this holiday episode, I’m talking about how to not let your unique gifts go to waste. We often overlook or minimize our talents and gifts because they are natural for us and we may not see them as anything special. We also may be uncomfortable talking about our gifts, feeling like we’re bragging or being arrogant. In this episode, you’ll hear about 3 things you can do to identify your gifts and make sure you’re using them fully.
In this episode we’re talking about:
- 3 ways to identify your gifts and not let them go to waste
- How using one of your gifts or talents in your personal life can help with your career direction.
- A desperate measure a well-known actor took in order to not let his acting gift go to waste.

Heather Fork is a GIFT to physicians looking for a change 🎁. Thankful for you, your podcasts, and your leadership.
Oh my gosh Dr. Willam Stiles! Thank you so much, it is my absolute pleasure. I could not imagine anything I’d rather be doing than helping physicians. I feel incredibly blessed. I get to help the most amazing people with the biggest hearts ❤️!
Heather, thank you so much for the reminder to use your gifts. During residency and years of private Ob/Gyn practice, I needed to shelve things that really gave me joy. Passions got rusty, and I found myself unsure about what I even enjoyed doing anymore. On the quest for a new career, I have found that taking time off to be creative (I just made new Christmas decorations and learned how to make marvelous macarons) is re-energizing. As always, thank you for your wisdom and insight!
Jenny! You definitely have the gift of acknowledgment and appreciation. And I am a most grateful and appreciative receiver of this lovely gift of yours. 😘
I have seen evidence of your very creative/artistic talents and love all the things that you make! I’m glad you are resurrecting these talents and finding the joy in them. How wonderful to be able to enjoy consuming some of the fruits of your creativity as well! Off to the kitchen myself. Thank you so much Jenny. May the New Year bring you a way to use your creative gifts even more!

Episode 10 presents another Dr. Fork formula: Incredible Gift Set (Brain) + Joyful Heart = Happy Physician! In our busy cerebral life as a physician, it’s easy to forget to keep our heart connected with our brain. Grateful to you for sharing your many gifts with us many physicians. Godspeed in 2021, Heather.
Dr. Jerry! I love your formulas! You capture the essentials in a wonderful equation. Thank you for all of your most supportive comments and encouragement. You definitely have the gift of acknowledgment. I am grateful for all of your positive contributions to the Doctor’s Crossing Community. Here’s to a great 2021 to you too.

Helen! You are so incredibly welcome! You made my day. I had fun doing this episode and revisiting the story about Mechad Brooks that I had saved from 10 years ago. Your sweet encouragement keeps me going. A big thank you to YOU for all you to help mentor and guide other physicians. I’ve your generosity many times. Heather
Very nice episode and a great reminder of how unique and special we all are!
Awe thanks so much! I am always fascinated to see the different gifts that each person has. It is like opening a treasure chest.
