Thank you so much for this podcast! When I was getting ready for a marathon interview day, Heather emphasized how important practicing vignettes and responses to the “tell me about yourself” and “do you have any questions?” questions. Being prepared made the interviews fun and allowed me to be a better listener; I wasn’t stressed about what I was going to say. Thank you for all you do for those of us transitioning!!!
Thank you so much for your lovely comments Jennifer! I had a great time doing the interview prep with you and was super impressed with the energy and commitment you put into preparing. You did a fabulous job on your presentation that you created in a very short time frame. You are a great example of how transformative the preparation can be. Thank you for all of your enthusiastic support of the Doctor’s Crossing.
This is a really good episode with practical tips. Interview prep is often overlooked even though it can be a deal breaker and easy to master with some practice. For anyone trying to maximize their chances of a successful timely transition, do not under estimate the job interview process. If your job interview is a multistep process, you need to prepare for all of them. You need to be ready and prepared to spot and overcome subtle objections during the interview process. Remember you are selling yourself. I love Heather Fork and I have learned a lot from her.
